Company History 



America’s Service Station opened for business in 2003 and remains in business 20 years later. Our differentiating factor is that we take pride in living by our tag line “we fix everything”. We do not specialize in tires and wheels, transmissions or oil changes. We perform all mechanical work – big and small, the simple fix and the complicated. We service all makes and models including European and import vehicles. We solve the problems the other guys can’t. 

In 2019, Steve Nelson was working in the private sector as a Trader for Canada’s largest retail and investment Bank. He had been living in Toronto for 8 years after moving from New York to start a family. While he was experiencing success in his career, he had always held on to the hope of living his dream of being in business for himself.  As the weeks went on, Steve found himself more and more drawn to the idea of starting a new life in the South, but the question left to be answered was “what business”? Once he made the decision to pursue his dream at full speed, he went on a year long mission reviewing, scrutinizing and interviewing business after business to find the right one that fit his vision.

Along came America’s Service Station. A full-service automotive repair shop. What did Steve know about car repair? Nothing. But he knew a lot about business, and he was thrilled to embark on this new adventure with an amazing team of existing car experts supporting him through his journey.  After many months of travelling back and forth from Toronto, Canada to Alpharetta GA, Steve and his family permanently relocated to Johns Creek to start their new life. Steve acquired the company in March 2020, right when COVID began shutting down the economy, but he stood the course and began to make his team and the community believe in his much-needed service. 

New Management, Same Exceptional Service!

America’s Service Station has been around for 20 years and has been a staple in the Alpharetta community (and surrounding areas) in providing sound, trusted and quality auto repair services. Steve acquiring the business simply meant that there would be new management, but clients would still experience the same level of service, if not better, that they have grown accustomed to receiving.

Drawing on his own experiences as a customer, Steve used those experiences as a way of determining what clients really want. His passion and natural ability for problem solving, and providing our clients with logical, sound and accurate advice shines through in the team’s top tier customer service. The company embodies his philosophy of “the job is not done until the customer’s problem is resolved.” 

It is Steve’s goal to be the #1 automotive repair shop of choice for small/independent businesses in the Alpharetta community and surrounding areas. Steve says it is our business to keep your car safe and running. Many of our customers believe that “the best car is the paid for car” and we are happy to help them live this dream.
